Throughout my role as a Junior Software Engineer I was involved with two teams. At first I was contributing to the frontend code of Simorgh. It was an interesting challenge since I have never worked in React. After that I was moved to "Reach and Languages" team, which was tasked to developed more experimental frontend components for the World Service. The two areas we focused was India and Nigeria. Finally I was moved back to Simorgh, but this time tasked with infrastructure engineering. A lot of work was done to improve the CI experience for developers as well as the e2e testing infrastructure.
