Details
During my time as a software engineer at the BBC I was involved in development and delivery of the US 2020 BBC Election. My role was fullstack with a particular focus on internal tooling used to update the page by the journalists. I was also involved in writing accessible frontend code used on the results pages. The elections team also allowed me to prototype a possible election stack, some of the elements of that prototype ended in the final product.
Before elections I worked mostly on infrastructure running Simorgh. I worked on the CloudFormation stacks and the CI/CD pipeline, some of my day was being spent providing general support like giving CPR to Jenkins.
